DIY- PROTEIN Hair MASK For Stronger Hair & Hair Loss | GlamTheoryMag

Who doesn't want luscious thick hair that's strong & smooth?
I know i do lol. I learned this trick from my grandma years ago when I was just a little girl. I saw her making these remedies at home and every women in the house using it!

If you need a description on the benefit of an egg then keep reading this potion or just scroll down to learn the real stuff hehe

1 egg:  One egg has only 75 calories but 7 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, and 1.6 grams of saturated fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals, etc.
Egg whites can be used for giving a nutritional boost to the follicles and the roots. The nutrients also help curb hair loss by stimulating your scalp and nourishing. The yolk makes it an excellent conditioning source as well. The egg white is a rich source of protein which makes this mask an amazing protein hair mask.

I prefer adding some lemon juice to this hair mask. Mind you- there is a bit a fishy smell which comes from the eggs. I find the lemon juice helps minimize it while adding more nutrients which comes from the juice. The acidic properties in lemons also adds shine to the hair naturally.

All you need is one egg. You can use two if you have super long & Thick hair.
I prefer to use the whole egg. You can only use Egg whites if you have oily scalp. If you have dry hair then use the yolk as well.

You only need three things- Egg, freshly squeezed Lemon juice & some water. If you have really dry textured hair & dandruff then also add some extra virgin organic coconut oil. I usually buy a giant tub from costco which lasts forever! It's the best moisturizing product in a tub that you can find for hair, face, body etc.

Use room temperature water. If you're using coconut oil in this mask then you can use some luke warm water so the oil doesn't solidify. You can also substitute Olive oil if you prefer that.

Mix everything together and let is rest for 5 mins

Brush your hair out & then evenly apply the mask all over your head. wear your old t-shirt because it can get a bit messy. To make this process easier- divide your hair in four portions. Use some slips to section off if you need to. Using your fingers scoop up some of the liquid mixture and apply them in each divided sections.
Once done wrap your hair in a low bun and if you must then use a shower cap to secure everything in. I usually leave this mask on for 20-30 mins. Then I shampoo it.

You might be able to smell something unusual while the hair is still wet! This happens if you have never tried any home remedies before & aren't used to it! It's Natural.
But don't worry, let your dry naturally & the smell will go away on it own. It's always best to air dry your hair after any hair masks have been applied. Give your hair some break once in a while & it goes without saying that you drink plenty of water for good hair & skin :)

Try this mask once a week if your hair is in a desperate need of some home care & love. Otherwise use this mask twice a month to help minimize hair fall. Your hair will get stronger slowly by using this protein mask.
Try this with your girlfriends or guyfriends, sisters, moms etc. have fun :)
