Dior SPLENDOR HOLIDAY 2016 COLLECTION (Limited Edition) - IS IT WORTH IT? | GLAM THEORY MAG | #isitworthit

Limited Edition Splendor holiday collection by Dior, is it worth it??? Well let's find out  :)

The Dior Holiday 2016 Splendor Color Collection combines textures of matte, satin, and sparkle to create a radiant, eye-catching beauty look. Shades of intense matte red are combined with shades of warm, shimmering gold, and smoky backs for a modern yet glamorous effect. Eyes are dressed in shades of snow white and shimmering black, while lips are decorated in subtle pink, delicate rosewood, and flamboyant red. Skin catches the light in luminous golden beige and sparkling coral, while nails stand out in gold, red-black and mother-of-pearl.

Dior 5 Couleurs ‘Splendor’ Eyeshadow

The very first thing which caught my eyes were the New Dior 5 Couleurs ‘Splendor’ Eyeshadow palettes. They are $63.00 each. The shadows are embossed with the most intricate and beautiful threaded sequins design. The texture of them are very soft & it's nicely pigmented. The Pigmentation is  much nicer compared to their previous collections. They do tend to sheer out but it is build able. They can be applied both dry and wet (which is a plus point).

My personal favorites is Precious Embroidery- the warm mauve tones in this palette will suit most eye colors, skin tone plus age range in my opinion. However this doesn't mean the Smokey sequins will not. That's also a very beautiful cool toned palette. I can definitely see my self gravitating towards the Smokey sequins for a night out glam.

Precious Embroidery #776

The Precious Embroidery palette features- a mauve, pinky-white, golden beige, deep brown, and blackened plum.

Smoky Sequins #066
The Smokey Sequins palette features- a off white, silver, grey, charcoal, and bronze

These Palette consists of 5 different shades and 2 applicators. This is pretty standard for any Dior eyeshadow quints. Out of the 2 applicators one of them usually has a brush in one end for blending purposes. And the other applicator has a very thin sponge tip for detailed work or it can be used to apply the darkest shadow as an eyeliner!

Diorific Matte Velvet Colour Lip & Cheek Fluid

This brand new product features a breakthrough formula, where the intensity of matte shades meets the comfort of a fluid texture. It has a very interesting finish- it's like a powdery yet cream finish! It'a a little hard to explain in simpler words! But they blend very easily and doesn't cling on to one spot & completely ruins your makeup underneath like how some multi functional products have the tendency to do!! They go on pretty sheer at first but it's definitely build able. They retails for $38.00 each

There's a total of four shades in this collection. However I have two of them-
Marvel (a bright fun pink)
Luxury (a bright Red).

Luxury #004

Marvel #002

Here are the swatches of both shades.
(L to R) Marvel & Luxury

The wand is a regular lip gloss or a liquid lipstick doe foot applicator. Which I like for applying most of my lip colors. I can take the wand straight to my lips or just dab some on the back of my hand and use my fingers to get that sheer finish.

The other two shades (which I don't have so unfortunately I wont be able to show you are)-
Pleassure (muted baby pink)
Tressure (a bold plum).
Pleasure #001

Treasure #003

Diorific Vernis

Nova #001

I mean it goes without saying HOW ADORABLE ARE THESE? lol It's just so cute and pretty omg haha I can stare at them on my vanity all day long! (okay you are probably thinking whats wrong with her but no seriously I could)!

(L to R)  Splendor #850, Nova #001, Golden #328 & Cosmic #899

So aside form the cute packaging haha the formula of them is actually really nice. Also I noticed that they tend to dry up pretty quickly too. Which is a great bonus point! I really love Nova layered on top of any colored nail polishes. It just adds a light clusters of sparkle look to any plain nail polish. There's a total of four shades in the Diorific Vernis collection and they retails for $28.00 each.

Diorific Matte Velvet Colour Lipstick

This collection includes five different shades of bold matte velvet lip colors. I have four of them to share with you. The shades are: Golden, Charm, Ravisssement, Fascination & Splendor
I really had my eye on the Splendor- which is a really deep maroon shade ahh so pretty but unfortunately I don't Have it. The packaging lone of these lipsticks are so luxurious looking. They do have a slight weight to them. And looks oh so stunning on the vanity lol. The Diorific Matte Velvet Colour Lipstick retails for $63.00 each.

Swatches (L to R) Charm #440, Fascination #880, Ravisssement #560

They have a light sweet scent to them which I don't mind, specially since after a few minutes on the lips you can't even notice the smell any longer. They feel very creamy and not drying at all. And trust me when i'm saying this because I have extremely dry lips naturally!

On me the matte velvet lipsticks lasts a good 6 hours. I'm never very careful with my lipstick btw. I'm a very messy eater & I drink sloppy too haha! My family thinks the 5 year old 'me' is still stuck inside of me cause I can't feed myself correctly! LOL So for a lipstick to stay on for a good 6 hours is more than enough for me.

Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow

Infinity #751

And last but not least we have the Diorshow Fusion mono eyeshadow in Infinity. I really love this one in particular. It can look great on its own on the eyes. Or you can even use it as a primer or a base for some glam eyeshadow look. I love the easy peasy little pot with a lid which is very easy to use with your fingers. Or you can also use a brush if you like. But the biggest reason why I love this one so much is simply because it's so handy for when you're on the go! You can easily toss it in your purse and pair it up with a gorgeous mascara and maybe also pair it with the Diorific matte velvet colour-  a little dab on the lips & a little on the cheek for some flush of color! Regardless of how you decide to pair them up but these Mono eyeshadow in Infinity is really beautiful. It will definitely work on  most skin tone & looks beautiful on both day & night. These babies retails for $31.00
