The Dolce&Gabbana classic cream lipsticks are so creamy and velvety, with outstanding coverage and pay off. It has a very soft and subtle powder like fragrance which are inspired by the wax based lipsticks of the 50’s and 60’s. They are very easy to apply and glides on the lips flawlessly. Some shades are long-lasting and some just wears off within 3-4 hours on me. However it is not meant to be a long wearing product so keeping that in mind a good 4 hour wear is good enough for me. Also when touching up the lipstick throughout the day it doesn't thicken up or give you that uncomfortable lipstick feeling, which is something I really LOVE about the D&G lipsticks.
Application tips:
*When you apply the first layer of lipstick blot your lips on a tissue paper once then apply a second layer of the lipstick on top which will help intensify the color more and make then last longer on the lips.
*Also try dusting some translucent powder over your lips after applying the first layer of the lipstick. This will make then last even longer as it will give them a matte like finish.
*Place a one layer of a tissue paper (toilet papers works the best) over your lips and dab some powders over the tissue paper using a fluffy powder brush, this way you wont get any lipstick transferred on to your brushes.
The colors of the Dolce & Gabbana classic cream lipstick are not only inspired by the nuances of Sicilian and Roses but also by the velvety touch of their petals.This spring 20 new colors have been added to the Dolce & Gabbana lipstick collection making a total of 42 shades in their line. The colors are divided into 6 categories. reds oranges purples corals pinks and nudes. Each classic cream lipstick is inspired by a particular rose. The delicate Mandorla is inspired by the Alchemist Rose, The Bold Star by the Black Rose, and the Dazzling Salime by the Calizia Rose.Each lipstick comes in the classic shiny gold tube with the Dolce and Gabbana logo on the side. As Dolce&Gabbana says: "listen carefully to its “click” : that subtle noise was specially designed to evoke the sound made by lipstick tubes in the 50’s."Pricing of the Classic Cream lipsticks: $33. They are available starting in April, May 2014 at select Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Sephora locations, SaksFifthAvenue.com, Sephora.com.
